Hi 👋

I'm Jagadeesh Puvvula, a Research Associate @ UPenn-DBEI | Epidemiology & Biostatistics. My research focuses on evaluating associations between gestational and childhood exposures to environmental chemical mixtures using biomarkers and adverse pregnancy/newborn outcomes.

I leverage biological intermediates such as the global epigenome, transcriptome, and metabolome to identify potential biological mechanisms underlying exposure-response associations. Among the environmental chemical exposures, I focus on air pollutants (PAHs, Toxic metals), forever chemicals (PFAS), flame retardants (PBDEs, OPEs), industrial chemicals (PCBs), consumer products (phthalates, phenols, parabens), pesticides (organochlorine, organophosphate).

I recevied a Ph.D. in Environmental Health and Toxicology and MPH-Epidemiology, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Additionally, completed PharmD from RGUHS - India.
